Science

  • World-renowned stem cell scientist Dr. Hans Keirstead developed and patented the process to lab generate human whole skin secretome –a major scientific breakthrough in regenerative dermatology and anti-aging treatments.
  • This proprietary process involves differentiating ethically sourced human stem cells (hESC) into skin progenitor cells and then harvesting the whole secretome without destroying the lipid membrane-bound signals while maintaining 99.6% purity, and thereby preserving their biological activity.
  • Other biologically active preparations use different cell sources like fibroblasts, adipose, mesenchymal/umbilical, porcine, and botanical cells that may not be pure and are not specific to human skin or whole.
  • Additionally, many exosome-based formulations use detergents and solvents which can destroy biologic activity and introduce pro-inflammatory cellular debris into the topical. PROVOQUE™ is detergent and solvent-free.
  • The secretome in PROVOQUE contains a high level of human skin-specific, biologically active cell signals, including 660 growth factors and exosomes, as well as fetuin, a glycoprotein predominate in young cells, which has not been shown to exist in other stem cell derived preparations.
